Another great lesson
Another great day with Ms. Marilyn. Katie is coming along great with her hands and stirrupless work. Mom took lots of pictures, and made sure that I got lots of pats. My nose was a touch sore, after all, I was beautified a week ago! I'm done with antibiotics and off the bute for pain and itchyness.
Katie rode me bareback today and popped me over a few small jumps. And we practiced my backing up. I was perfect as I cantered around the ring and stretched my legs some. I'm looking forward to maybe getting some snow!

It's done!
all done and pretty!
Today Morgan went to see Doc Jane (Jane Fassinger) in Rising Sun Maryland and we sedated him and stitched his nose back together. She ended up nerve blocking before she trimmed the edges which had a lot of scar tissue. Then she stitched him back up and he's even more handsome now! Morgan was a champ and a gentleman. He was a good boy and a trooper now has to spend a few days in a stall. He's on antibiotics and bute for pain management. And in two weeks they come out!
While we did like his rakish appearance...Katie wanted him pretty for equitation shows and Doc Jane was kind to do it.
Now cost.... I love my vet is all I will say. Total cost with antibiotics and alum spray was $168. They were half the cost basically!

Jumping 101
Mom took me to get shoes! I got front shoes. Then Katie decided to ride me and we did some jumping. Her goal for me is to take me to equitation shows. But I need to learn to jump a little better so we spent some time today working on that. I love my family!
Stacy's words now!~ Morgan had front shoes put on for the grand cost of $40. Love our farrier. He trailered well as always and was a bit nervous as Christ shoed Koda. But when it was his turn he was a gentleman and stood there. Coming home, Katie did a few days of ring work, and then we jumped him today. Katie was concerned because she needs to be able to jump him for equitation. No worries i think! I think we'll take him to a few indoors to expose him to different jumps. Katie has been riding him at lessons with Marilyn Mitchell who likes our boy. They're coming along together nicely, and Katie is a busy young lady riding two to three a day now. As well as maintaining honor roll at school. Katie has been riding Morgan in a d ring french link snaffle which he seems to like a lot. She's been working on his transitions and asking him to back.
